Is it difficult because you are on your own? Is it difficult because you cannot use a skill bar that is pre-made?
Tips: Dodge. Some spells you can dodge and avoid being hit (fireball, trident, ice spear, etc.) How to Dodge: striffing left to right and back again is the way to doge. Block. Block their fast and powerful spells (AoE, undodgables, and those that do 800 points of damage). Interupt. Interupt slow casting damaging spells. Monks do not have projectiles, so you can't dodge, they have smite hex, so hexing isn't always a good idea. They have two interupts and one block, nothing you can do about that. Pay attention to their patterns. They like to cast a glyph then a spell. Ignore the glyph and block only their powerful spells. In a game of attrition, you should be able to win. |

Then you will have to join the Anti-polymock movement AKA the polysucks movement. I am in it right now a full member …. at least until I get a gold drop for me out of a dungeon chest I am not paying more then 5k for one

Man... that is just too bad.
Blarp is a tad hard, but some others are just a pain. It takes me a while to beat the char polymocker, but eventually I did it. So far, I'm 2 for 2 (Ritualist and Monk). My Mesmer will be getting me my 3rd championship in Polymock. There are guides that helped me understand how polymock works and how to beat it. They are listed here I think (Eyes To The North Forum). I can't solo (so I don't do it), but I can beat most of the Norn Tournament, and I can beat Polymock. Trust me, it isn't that hard once you learn how to play the game. |

Well, provided you have a fast connection so that you can actually use the interrupt, anyway.
I do have a fast connection (100MBit), but for some reason in guildwars I get about 350 ping. That means that from the time the enemy starts to cast his spell to me noticing, it takes 0.35 seconds. It then takes another 0.35 seconds for my interrupt to register at the server. Which means that for a 1 second cast I have 0.3 seconds left as reaction time, and frankly that's not a lot. Basically I can't reliably interrupt in polymock, and that makes it a lot harder. And yeah, I absolutely hate Polymock. It stinks. It burns. And the opponents cheat. And completing it gives very useful PvE skills. Which is what makes Polymock the single worst part of Guildwars. |

I spent 10k on a naga shaman polymock peice then polymock just became far too easy, I beat all but Hoff justusing that peice against their 3
Biggest problem with polymock, if you got a naga shaman or reasonable gold polymock peice then you just walk through all the opponents and there is no challenge at all |
